What a first appointment actually looks like
A full one-hour video visit with an Alberta physician. They ask about what's been happening, how long it's been going on, and what you've already tried. Nothing is decided without you, and follow-up appointments are unlimited.
- A full hour with your physician, not a 5-minute triage call
- Plain-language explanation of what's driving your symptoms
- A written care plan you leave the appointment with
- Internal referral to our psychiatrists or counsellors if you need it
- Unlimited follow-up appointments, you're never left alone with a plan
You will never be handed a prescription you didn't ask for.
Medication is one option among several, alongside therapy, CBT, sleep and lifestyle work, or simply monitoring for now. Your physician explains the trade-offs and you decide together. Plenty of our patients never start medication at all.
If you do choose it, you get unlimited follow-up appointments to adjust or stop, not a prescription and silence.
The referral happens inside our own team.
