What a first appointment actually looks like
A full one-hour video visit with an Alberta physician. They ask about what's been happening, how long it's been going on, and what you've already tried. Nothing is decided without you, and follow-up appointments are unlimited.
- A full hour with your physician, not a 5-minute triage call
- Plain-language explanation of what's driving your symptoms
- A written care plan you leave the appointment with
- Internal referral to our psychiatrists or counsellors if you need it
- Unlimited follow-up appointments, you're never left alone with a plan
You will never be handed a prescription you didn't ask for.
Medication is one option among several, alongside therapy, CBT, sleep and lifestyle work, or simply monitoring for now. Your physician explains the trade-offs and you decide together. Plenty of our patients never start medication at all.
If you do choose it, you get unlimited follow-up appointments to adjust or stop, not a prescription and silence.
Anger is usually the visible part of something else.
Untreated ADHD, depression, PTSD, chronic pain, sleep deprivation, and alcohol all present as anger. Our physicians assess what's underneath rather than treating the temper in isolation.

Book free appointmentPhysicians are there to help, not to punish. Your appointment is confidential, with the same narrow legal exceptions that apply to every clinician in Alberta, and getting assessed is the strongest step you can take for the people around you.
It can be. Irritability is a core symptom of depression, ADHD, PTSD, and several other treatable conditions. That's why an assessment beats a generic anger course.
Physician assessment and every follow-up appointment are billed to AHCIP, no cost to you, no credit card at booking, no cap on visits. Optional non-physician services such as counselling are quoted transparently before you commit.
Only your care team. Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest, stored on Canadian servers, and handled under PIPEDA and Alberta's Health Information Act. Nothing is shared with your employer or family without your explicit consent.
