What a first appointment actually looks like

A full one-hour video visit with an Alberta physician. They ask about what's been happening, how long it's been going on, and what you've already tried. Nothing is decided without you, and follow-up appointments are unlimited.

  • A full hour with your physician, not a 5-minute triage call
  • Plain-language explanation of what's driving your symptoms
  • A written care plan you leave the appointment with
  • Internal referral to our psychiatrists or counsellors if you need it
  • Unlimited follow-up appointments, you're never left alone with a plan
Our position

We prescribe when it helps, and say so when it doesn't.

Plenty of appointments end without a prescription. Others end with one because the evidence supports it. What doesn’t happen is medication as a substitute for actually assessing you.

If you do choose it, you get unlimited follow-up appointments to adjust or stop, not a prescription and silence.

Prescribing is the easy part. Follow-up is the point.

Every plan comes with unlimited follow-up appointments to adjust dose, change agents, manage side effects, or taper off entirely. You're never left holding a prescription with no one to ask.
