Nobody has to know you booked.

Most people we see haven’t told anyone yet. That’s fine. You decide if, when, and how your partner or family gets involved.

No payment, no paper trail
Billed to your Alberta Health Card. No credit card is ever asked for.
No waiting room
A video call from your car, your office, or a walk. Wherever you can talk.
Nothing shared without consent
Not with your employer, your bank, or your family. Protected under PIPEDA and the HIA.

Does any of this sound familiar?

You don’t need to be in debt or at rock bottom to book.

  • Betting more to win back what you lost
  • Deleting the app, then downloading it again
  • Checking scores or odds at work, in bed, at dinner
  • Hiding statements or moving money around
  • Borrowing, or using credit meant for something else
  • Gambling to escape stress, boredom, or a low mood

Quitting alone keeps resetting. A plan holds.

On your own
Promise yourself it’s the last time, again
Block the apps, then find a way around it
Carry the stress, sleep loss, and secrecy by yourself
With EaseCare
A physician who treats gambling as a health condition, not a character flaw
Checks for what’s underneath: anxiety, depression, ADHD, sleep
A written plan for urges, triggers, and money safeguards
Follow-ups as often as you need, psychiatry in-house if it helps

Gambling disorder changes how the brain’s reward system responds, the same way other addictions do. Your physician starts where you are, whether that’s cutting back, stopping, or just understanding why it’s got this hold.

Questions people ask before booking

No. You don’t need to have stopped, or even be sure you want to. Most people book because cutting back on their own hasn’t held. Your physician starts from where you are.

Not from us. There’s no charge, so nothing shows up on any statement. Your record is confidential under PIPEDA and Alberta’s Health Information Act and isn’t shared with anyone without your consent.

Yes, with a valid Alberta Health Card. Physician visits and follow-ups are billed to the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan, like a walk-in clinic. No credit card at booking. Counselling is optional and private pay at $150 per session.

Your physician focuses on the gambling and what’s driving it, and can point you to free, non-profit credit counselling in Alberta for the money side. Many people find the debt gets easier to face once the urges are under control.

No. You book directly. If a psychiatrist would help, our physicians refer internally to our own team, so there’s no outside waitlist.

The person who gambles needs to book and attend their own visit. If you’re affected by someone else’s gambling, you can book a visit for yourself to talk about the stress it’s causing you.

One private hour. $0. A plan that isn’t just willpower.

Covered by your Alberta Health Card. Book yourself, no referral needed.
