“It's just stress” is what people say right before they burn out.
Physician support for burnout, work stress, caregiver strain, and life transitions. Free with your Alberta Health Card, no referral.

Burnout doesn't announce itself.
You don't have to be in crisis to qualify for care.
What a first appointment actually looks like
A full one-hour video visit with an Alberta physician. They ask about what's been happening, how long it's been going on, and what you've already tried. Nothing is decided without you, and follow-up appointments are unlimited.
- A full hour with your physician, not a 5-minute triage call
- Plain-language explanation of what's driving your symptoms
- A written care plan you leave the appointment with
- Internal referral to our psychiatrists or counsellors if you need it
- Unlimited follow-up appointments, you're never left alone with a plan
You will never be handed a prescription you didn't ask for.
Medication is one option among several, alongside therapy, CBT, sleep and lifestyle work, or simply monitoring for now. Your physician explains the trade-offs and you decide together. Plenty of our patients never start medication at all.
If you do choose it, you get unlimited follow-up appointments to adjust or stop, not a prescription and silence.
Stress becomes a medical problem sooner than most people think.
Chronic stress drives insomnia, anxiety, depression, blood pressure, and gut symptoms. An assessment separates ordinary pressure from an adjustment disorder or depression that needs treatment.

Same appointmentQuestions about stress support
Book free appointmentYes. Chronic stress and adjustment disorders are clinical conditions with recognised treatments, and untreated they progress into depression, anxiety disorders, and physical illness.
Your physician will assess you and discuss what's clinically appropriate, including any documentation your situation genuinely warrants. That's a medical judgement made in the appointment.
Physician assessment and every follow-up appointment are billed to AHCIP, no cost to you, no credit card at booking, no cap on visits. Optional non-physician services such as counselling are quoted transparently before you commit.
No. You book directly. If your plan calls for a psychiatrist, our physicians refer you internally to our own psychiatry team, so there's no external waitlist to join.
